Possible human remains found near Nashville explosion site, police chief says

• The FBI field office in Memphis is leading the investigation and Special Agent in Charge Matt Foster urged the public to submit any tips or information.
• The FBI field office in Memphis is leading the investigation and Special Agent in Charge Matt Foster urged the public to submit any tips or information.
• One witness said three vehicles were among the many objects on fire after the blast.
• AT&T spokesman Jim Greer told CNN that the company's network hub in the city was damaged in the explosion and service in the Nashville area was affected.
• Mayor Cooper issued a curfew for the area surrounding the explosion site. The curfew lasts until 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers were responding to a call of shots fired around 5:30 a.m. CT Friday when they found a motor home parked in front of an AT&T transmission building at 166 2nd Avenue North.
Nashville Vice Mayor Jim Shulman told CNN's Anderson Cooper that a female voice was speaking in the warning message played from the RV before the explosion.
"There were a number of people who did evacuate and then we know of some people, it didn't go off when the message said it would and so people started coming back in, and then it went off," he explained.
Officers saw no immediate evidence of shots fired but they requested the department's hazardous devices unit and started to evacuate neighborhood residents, police said.
The RV exploded at 6:30 a.m. CT as the bomb squad was responding, police spokesman Don Aaron said.
"We do believe this to have been an intentional act," he said.
The force of the explosion knocked down one officer, Aaron said, and caused hearing loss in another -- hopefully temporarily, he said. But no officers were significantly injured.
A vehicle is on fire after an explosion in Nasvhille on Friday, December 25, 2020.
Officials have no information about whether anyone was inside the RV when it exploded.
There were no known credible threats in the Nashville area that would have signaled an impending attack on or before Christmas, a federal law enforcement source told CNN.
A second law enforcement source said federal authorities are not aware of any increased chatter nationally by known extremist groups that would indicate any credible plans for conducting attacks around the holidays.

Nhờ vậy mà 0 có fatalities but some police officers were injured!

Gà đoán có người muốn tự tử vì báo nói hình như có kiếm thấy human remains nhưng phải phải kiếm chứng lại.

Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake named Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, of Antioch, Tennessee, as a key person in the investigation into the explosion of a recreational vehicle in Nashville early Christmas morning.
"That is a person of interest -- still there could be several more," Drake said.

Anthony Quinn Warner Named as Nashville Bomber
Twitter/Google Maps/Police
Anthony Quinn Warner (l). On right top, the RV as it looked parked outside his house on Google Maps. Right: The RV on the way to the bombing.Anthony Quinn Warner was a 63-year-old Tennessee computer contract worker named as the Nashville bomber who detonated a parked RV in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, on Christmas morning, according to Nashville’s police chief. An RV similar to the one used in the Nashville bombing was parked at Warner’s home address in images on Google Maps and Google Earth, Heavy discovered.
Authorities have now matched human tissue recovered at the blast zone to Warner’s DNA. “We’ve come to the conclusion that an individual named Anthony Warner is the bomber,” U.S. Attorney Donald Q. Cochran, Jr. declared in a December 27 news conference. Warner was “present when the bomb went off” and “perished in the bombing,” said Cochran. Forensic scientists confirmed a DNA match, he said. Authorities also scoured surveillance video and saw no one else near the RV, leading them to believe that Warner acted alone.
“Anthony Warner is the man believed responsible for this horrible crime,” said Nashville Police Chief John Drake.
The first clue emerged pointing toward a possible motive; WSMV-TV’s Jeremy Finley is reporting that FBI agents have been “pursuing tips that he (Warner) was paranoid about 5g spying on Americans.” Since the pandemic hit, conspiracy theories have raged that 5G cell phone towers spread COVID-19; scientists have found the claims baseless, according to BBC. In May, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warned of the potential for attacks by 5G conspiracy theorists against cell towers and wireless providers. However, that’s only one motive being considered, the television station reported. Asked about the possible 5G motive, authorities said only, “We’re aware of certain things online, and we’re looking at every possible angle.”
