Now, I might not need to wait for good vision without visual aids in my next life.
I can get it done in this life.

My sis in law had hers at 35 and she said she got no regrets from getting it done.
My only concern is your body rejecting to the foreign matter, new corrective lenses, in this case in your eyes.

Anyone has this done before?

Gà làm lasik surgery lúc early 40's and love it. Gà cận thị khá nặng 0 đeo contact lenses thì 0 thấy đường lái xe được. Bởi vậy ngủ dậy thì phải đo contact với trước nhất rồi mới thấy đường. Đeo contact lenses ban đêm nhiều lúc ngủ gục vẩn phải thức dậy nửa đêm để tháo lenses ra hoặc lúc đi bơi nhiều khi cũng sợ nước vào mắt làm hư lenses.

Làm lasik xong ngủ dậy đi tắm hồ/biển lúc nào cũng thấy rõ ràng. I love it!

Tuy nhiên lúc 40 thì mắt bắt đầu lem nhem 0 đọc gần được. Bởi vậy Gà làm mono-vision Lasik: mắt phải dominate eye correct vision 20/20 để nhìn xa, Còn correct mắt trái 20/50 để đọc gần. It worked for me and I don't need reading glassses most of the time (chỉ khi nào chữ nhỏ quá hoặc đèn lờ mờ thì hơi khó đọc).

Lens surgery nay is primarily used for those with cataracts. My sis in law doesn’t have cataract and  didn’t want lasiks.

What the doc did was removed the lens in her eyes and replaced them with the new artificial corrective lens.

Her only downside with this lens implants was seeing halos at night.

What happens if your body reject the implants?

This is one of my biggest fear!

Lens replacement surgery is also known as cataract surgery. Nowadays, you don’t have to wait until you’re old to remove your cloudy lenses for new lenses. You can get lenses implants at any age. The lenses are said to be good for 40 years. I guess I’ll wait until I’m 50 to get it since I don’t think I would live to 100.

I’m still worried about foreign matter rejection. Just like some women with boobs implants who had pull the implants out herself due to severe pain during the night.

I never thought of that but it’s a good question.
