What is Eviolite?

Eviolite is a hold item that boosts a Pokémon’s Defense and Special Defense stats by 50% each if that Pokémon can evolve. It does nothing for fully evolved Pokémon.

How to Get Eviolite in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

There are some ways to get Eviolites in Scarlet & Violet:

1. South Province (Area 5) Trainers

If players head to the far southeast of Poco Path Lighthouse, they'll reach a shoreline with a Pokemon Center. This is South Province (Area 5), where Scarlet/Violet players can get the Eviolite. Speak to the Elite Four Rep, and he'll want players to defeat 7 trainers in South Province (Area 5). Once this is completed, return to the League Rep at South Province (Area 5)'s Pokemon Center to get the Eviolite.

2. Buy one from the Delibird Presents stores

If you need another Eviolite or don’t want to hunt around trainers, you can buy one from the Mesagoza branch of Delibird Presents in the Battle Items section. One of these will cost you 50,000 Poké Dollars.

3. Other Methods

You can also try your luck in finding Eviolite in the Auction House in Porto Marinada, or even by winning the Academy Ace Tournament and getting it as a random reward. But both of these are not sure-fire methods to get the Eviolite.

Who Can Use Eviolite?

Eviolites are best equipped to a Pokemon with solid Defense and Special Defense. Giving the Eviolite to Chansey will work best, as its build focuses more on special defense. A Chansey holding an Eviolite will be sturdier than an item less-Blissey since Eviolite increases the Defense and Special Defense of a Pokemon's total stat rather than its base stat.
