Passenger, 68, crash lands plane on Martha's Vineyard

Passenger Lands Private Plane on Its Belly After Pilot Suffers Mid-Air 'Medical Condition'
A passenger on a private plane in Massachusetts appears to have saved the day.
Just after 3 p.m. local time on Saturday, the woman, 68, took over the controls of a Piper Meridian Turbo Prop six-seat plane and landed the aircraft at Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY) "on its belly with no landing gear," according to the West Tisbury Police Department (WTPD).
Authorities say the male pilot "was having a medical condition upon approach," which caused his passenger to step in.
"The female had minor injuries and the male party was extricated from the plane and subsequently med-flighted to Boston for additional treatment," they add. "The Massachusetts State Police and FAA are involved in the investigation."

This was a 2nd incident that I can recalled this year where a passenger had to land the private jet because the pilot had a medical condition. Wondering if they are hiring pilots that are not physically fit?

nhiều lúc có sudden health condition, no pre-existing condition. Giống như last year ở cái hồ mà Gạo đi bộ xung quanh mỗi buổi sáng, có ông kia, healthy ko có pre-existing condition, tự nhiên đang chơi sailing trên hồ, cái rớt xuống nước and something happened at that moment, ổng bị stroke, roi ko bơi được, có người thấy từ trong bờ, gọi 911 right way, và rescue team tới là đã muộn rồi, họ bay máy bay nhỏ tới vì họ có some kind of equipment để scan the water luôn nhưng cả hour sau mới tìm ra ổng .
