Phim này tình tiết hay, nhưng nội dung quá là tâm thần, bịnh hoạn.  Bởi vậy những vụ giết người vô tội kể cả trẻ em cứ xảy ra hoài vì mấy tên bịnh hoạn như vầy nghĩ là God bảo họ đi giết "demons" nhưng thật ra là đi giết người.

Two girls found dead in a smoke-filled house on Sunday, January 6, 2008, were the victims of a ritual slaying.  Their stepfather, Lawrence Douglas Harris Sr., 25, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Kendra Suing, 10, and Alysha Suing, 8.  Lawrence had been performing “some strange rituals.”  He told investigators he was casting a spell that “had gone bad” and the spell “could have had severe consequences.”  Kendra and Alysha were dead before the fire and appear to have died of strangulation and stab wounds.

Sioux City Police and Fire departments responded Sunday afternoon to an anonymous report of a fire at 1420 Nebraska Street.  When officers arrived at the scene, Lawrence indicated that the victims were dead in their bedrooms.  Lawrence told authorities he was the only adult present at the scene.  The girls’ mother, Marla Harris, also lived at the house but was not at home at the time.

Lawrence also “appeared to have blood on his person” at the scene, authorities said.   It was confirmed that the fire was set in the basement of the home but declined to speculate on whether it was set as part of a ritual or to cover up evidence.

On Monday afternoon, family members removed furniture from the house, which had minimal damage, and loaded it into a red pickup truck.  Two pictures of Alysha and Kendra sat on a small plastic orange and yellow picnic table on the front porch.  The girls were students at Irving Elementary School.  They transferred to the district in April from out of state.  They enjoyed spending time on computers, reading books and listening to music.  A favorite song was “Barbie Girl.”

Lawrence had an interest in witchcraft and told police that the girls had died when a spell he cast to protect their teenage brother reversed itself, killing them.  His attorneys attempted to prove that Lawrence was legally insane, but after two weeks of testimony, jurors took only a couple hours to find him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.
