Mouse cleans up the shed
A PENSIONER’S shed gets its regular nightly clean-up — from a mouse.
Stephen Mckears, 72, found scattered items such as nuts and bolts were repeatedly moved into a tub.
Each night the mouse cleaned up the mess Stephen had intentionally made
Each night Stephen went back to the shed to spread the objects in a bid to prove his sanity. By the following morning the mess had been cleaned up.
The retired electrician realised objects were moving in his shed a month ago and decided to ask his neighbour to help him solve the mystery.
For weeks Stephen closely followed the moves of the suspicious intruder, who had been neatly collecting large screws, plastic leads, nuts and bolts.
He and pal Rodney Holbrook, 70, set up a camera to identify the culprit in Severn Beach, Gloucs.
Stephen said: "I've been calling him Brexit Mouse because he's been stockpiling for Brexit.
"The heaviest thing was the plastic attachment at the end of a hose pipe - and the chain of an electric drill.
"I didn't know what it was at first. The kids were saying it was a ghost.
"One day I emptied the tub out and spread the contents on the side - and the next day they were all back in again. I thought I was going mad."
