No, he is the type of person who doesn't want to lose in any battle.  He was the one who promoted Hydroxychloroquine in the first place, but now the drug is taking the back seat because it caused potential side effects and leave the spotlight for Remdesivir which is NOT promoted by him and already approved by FDA for emergency to treat Covid.  So, he is trying to take back the Hydroxychloroquine hype so he can boast about it in his rallies . And that's the symptom of a narcissistic person.
