Unvaccinated United Airlines' staff faces firings as early as today as deadline for Covid shots passes
The deadline for United Airlines employees to get vaccinated against Covid-19 has passed, opening the door to termination as early as Tuesday in one of the country's strictest mandates for inoculation.
CEO Scott Kirby said during an interview at the Atlantic Festival on Monday that 98.5% of the company's employees are vaccinated. That doesn't include staff who are exempt from the mandate due to religious or medical reasons, according to a spokeswoman.

I am surprised the Union would agree with this mandate and allow UA to fire the employees if they don't get vaccinated or provide exemption certificates.

United’s unvaccinated staff drops from 593 to 320 after company said they would be fired
United Airlines said the number of staff facing firing because they weren’t vaccinated against Covid-19 dropped from 593 Monday to 320 people on Thursday.
United over the summer said staff must be vaccinated against Covid-19 to work there and the deadline to present proof of inoculation was late Monday.
“Our vaccine policy continues to prove requirements work — in less than 48 hours, the number of unvaccinated employees who began the process of being separated from the company has been cut almost in half, dropping from 593 to 320,” United said in a statement.

I really want to sêe UA firing their employees so people can take it more seriously and other companies can do the same thing!

Get vaccinated for Covid-19 is not a personal choice anymore. It's a public charge issue now. It's not that you can yell "Fire" in a crowded theater and claim that it's your rights to "freedom of speech". So people should get vaccinated to avoid the chance of getting covid and to avoid the costly hospital bills, and most of all, avoid death from Covid.
I support the companies that required its employees get vaccinated or get fired.

Gà cũng mong mấy hảng health insurance sẽ ra luật nếu ai 0 vaccinate thì sau này bị COVID related issues thì họ sẽ 0 trả đồng nào hết. Exceptions are allowed only for health related issues and perhaps some religion restrictions but they need to provide proof.

Chi Ga\ , em agree with chi. nhưng chỉ sợ ho.không care luôn vi. they know hospital bills/ debts are not bad debts ...bất quá trả payments từ từ ....or không trả luôn . Làm gì được nhau? 1 so người maybe là chicken sh@t thi maybe work . may thang cứng đầu maybe no . if this is the case then hospitals lại mệt .
