First confirmed US case of Omicron coronavirus variant detected in California


The United States' first confirmed case of the Omicron coronavirus variant has been identified in California.
In a White House news briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the case was in an individual who traveled from South Africa on November 22 and tested positive for Covid-19 on November 29.

That individual, Fauci said, is self-quarantining and close contacts have tested negative for the coronavirus so far.

The person was fully vaccinated and is experiencing "mild symptoms, which are improving at this point," Fauci said.

Minnesota reports second U.S. omicron Covid case in resident who traveled to NYC


Minnesota public health authorities confirmed Thursday what appears to be the second U.S. case of the omicron Covid variant in a resident who recently returned from New York City, the state’s department of health said.

The man, who was fully vaccinated and has since recovered, traveled to New York City to attend the Anime NYC 2021 convention at the Javits Center from Nov. 19-21, the department said in a statement. The first omicron case was confirmed in California by U.S. officials Wednesday in a person who recently returned to San Francisco from a trip to South Africa.



Health officials in the U.S. and around the world are concerned that omicron is more transmissible and may evade the protection provided by currently available vaccines to some degree. The variant has some 50 mutations, more than 30 of which are on the spike protein that the virus uses to attach to human cells.

anh 4, bên Gạo chưa đến nổi nào, I booked for my husband last Sunday. Còn Gạo hơi lái xe bị giỏi đó Smile nên có mà chổ đậu xe, lái rắc rối quá nên Gạo đợi this Saturday đi bộ tới CVS trong town chích

ông 8, anh tui thầy giáo mà ở town bị ít cases nên chưa được chích, tụi teachers nó bực lắm vì đáng lẻ teachers là issential workers thì apply toàn nước chứ, nó chơi kiê?u tùy vùng nhiễm cao hay thấp mới iêu tiên

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis confirmed a third U.S. case in a woman who recently traveled to southern Africa and returned to the state. The patient was fully vaccinated but had not received a booster shot, he said at press conference. She is experiencing mild symptoms and is isolating at home, Polis said.

cả nhà vaccinated hết rồi.  2 vợ chồng cũng chích booster shot luôn rồi...chỉ cầu mong mỗi ngày được bình an. 3 cha con chích không bị ảnh hưởng gì nhiều, riêng cx chích đợt 2 và đợt 3 đều bị quất hết 2 ngày. First confirmed US case of Omicron coronavirus variant detected in Cal 75440789
