I made a right turn into the shopping center at a slow speed and saw a squirrel sitting in the middle of the street with a sad and sulky face.

I honked the horn and he wouldn’t move. He stood still just like waiting for me to run him over. I had to drive around him to get past him.

Can animals be depressed and/or suicidal?

I just wondered why the squirrel did not move/run as it usually. Have you turned around to see what would be happened to him/her next?
