CALIFORNIA, USA — A new bill signed by Governor Gavin Newsom is honoring an important cultural holiday in a new way. AB 2596 recognizes Lunar New Year as an official state holiday.

It's one of the most important festivals celebrated across Asian countries as well as the Asian diaspora, and festivities can last up to two weeks. The Lunar New Year is based on the lunar calendar and begins with the first new moon and ends on the first full moon.

Yeah ! I know .. State workers just look for every single excuse to have a .......day off ..kakakkaka .. Man .. getting in line at DMV is really frustrating with all those state holiday workers...

They come in at 10:00AM, having a cup of coffee and reading emails till 11:00 AM, then they were getting ready for lunch. They left for lunch at 11:30AM then came back at 1:30 PM. Once back, they went through their files and helped 1 customer until 2:30PM. Once done with that customer, they had to take a break and moseying around the offices and got back to their desks around 3:30PM. Once back to their desks, they're reading emails until 4:00PM. Once done, they were getting ready to punch out around 4:30PM .

That's the typical working hours of the Government worker.
