Costco does not make much money on products

You Won't Believe How Much Money Costco Just Made on Membership Fees
Over the past year, Costco brought in almost $4.6 billion in membership fees. And those fees represent 72% of the company's profits.
But before you get angry at that number, realize this. The whole reason Costco is able to offer such competitive prices is that it uses the revenue it collects in membership fees to offset its costs. And if you use your membership enough, you may find that your fee is more than worth paying.
Let's say you shop at Costco twice a month and save $20 on each visit compared to what you'd spend at a supermarket or big-box store. Let's also assume you only have a basic membership. This means you're spending $60 to save $480. So all told, you're coming out ahead by $420.
If you're someone who doesn't tend to shop at Costco often, then you'll need to assess whether your membership fee is worth paying. Chances are, you're not going to get value out of your fee if you only go to Costco once or twice a year (though it's possible that your membership will still pay in that case if each visit has you bringing home a giant haul).
But if shopping at Costco saves you money, then you may not want to grumble about the fee. Or, go ahead and grumble about it, but keep paying it if that's what makes financial sense for you.

I think this article is written by a Costco marketing person. I always end up buying a lot of stuff from Costco that I don't really need just because they are on "sale"! The average Costco trip is about $200 - $300!

hôm kia mới đi BJs, a small wholesale club popular in this area (more than Costco) hết $230, bợ 1 bọc toilet paper là $20 rồi
bình laundry soap hết $25. Được cái BJs lúc nào cũng có coupons, coupons lấy lại hơn tiền membership fee mỗi năm .
Ko phải món nào trong đó cũng rẻ hơn ở ngoài đâu, món lúc nào cũng mắc hơn hoặc bằng giá là butter.

Ghét thằng BJ/Sams bắt phải cut out coupon mới được giá sale. Thằng Costco tự động trừ luôn khỏi phải cắt coupon gì hết.
Nhiều khi cần mua 1 món đồ nhưng khi leaving costco thì ended up buying 10 món đồ for $300! Vào đó thấy món này sale, món kia sale, rồi ăn thử xong là bưng về cả đống đồ mình 0 intended to buy.
Most of my purchases from Costco are:
1) Snacks
2) Already prepared food items in the refrigerated section (chicken bake, chicken tenders, breakfast sandwiches.
3) Almond milk/cream
4) Coffee
5) Oil, salt, sugar, steak seasoning
6) Salmon, Rack of Pork, Korean Ribs
7) Toilet papers, detergents, napkins, plates etc

Do you have a restaurant to buy that much to get $400 cash back? We normally get around $125 to cover for our membership.

Costco không lời nhiều vì nhiều khách hàng lạm dụng vụ return policy
dễ quá đến khách hàng mua dùng cho vacation xong rồi đem đi đổi lấy tiền lại (tui thấy qua gùi)
hay mua về dùng 1 thời gian dài rồi nói không work đem đổi lại vì lifetime guarantee, cho dù cái của mình vẫn còn xài được nhưng vì muốn lạm dụng đem cái cũ đi trả gùi lấy cái brand new về dùng hehehhe

giờ họ khó lắm vụ membership rồi ..
gia đình chỉ được 2 người dùng và khi check out họ check thẻ membership luôn

You dont have to! We do have multiple people on our membership though!
How do they use your membership and not get caught?
Ở vùng này they ask your ID when you pay which annoyed a lot of people! My pix is on my Visa Costco card so I can easily show them.

cũng mấy tháng tru+ớc thì dễ ...
sau này họ check ráo chọi hết ..
lúc xưa khi self-checkout thì scan cái thẻ thôi, giờ có người đứng khu đó check luo^n nên vụ gian lận hem còn nhiều nữa hheheheh

Ăn gian quá Costco làm vậy cũng đúng vì not fair cho những người đóng tiền membership

BJs thì họ không có check như Costco. BJs just show it to them then ok.

)). có lần tech moved to Florida, ông anh vợ, đi costco lấy thẻ tao dùng ) lúc đó tech never have Costco cho nên không rành, OK. dùng thì dùng ) ai dè ) thẻ hết hạn )), và cũng không được dùng ) họ check ID. ố ồ, I am in trouble. ok. cuối cùng tech nói that's it ))....đừng có bao giờ cho share gì hết hahahah, bó tay, cho nên tech joined Costco.....luôn. nhiều khi tech thấy mấy ông này tung trái khói nhiều lắm ). tính tình tech thì có sau nói vậy...nhiều khi tech đụng những trái khói khó đỡ lắm hahahah...

mua shampoo với conditioner về dùng
trước khi về đem trả lại ..
