Have you noticed there are so many bad news nowadays every single time you turn the tv on or signed on to any of the web browsers? Shooting and stabbing that are all race related? I guess that’s the media’s intention, to mentally put that scare into us.

Over the summer, we went camping at one of the RV campsite in California.  It was nice, green  and clean with a small waterfall. We went for a stroll around and noticed there were so many my trangs sitting on the bench that were next to their rv campers. We walked down and more my trang, in fact, we were the only Asians there.

I got fearful and whispered to hubby to hurry because they looked like Chump’s supporters. They watched us like a hawk as we walked past by until we made it back to the rv.

It was such a relief to get back to the RV. I felt like we were a my den walking through the my trang’s neighborhood. I felt like they were sitting on their front porch with a shotgun armed and ready waiting to start something.

They gave us 2 sites which were all the way in the back, with no one, well just one white neighbor with 2 of his dogs, who left later after our arrival. I jokingly told my sis in law they had to shove us in the back corner so no one could see us.

It didn’t bothered me at all since I was
fine because we got our own privacy. It was more rowdy and scary in their hood anyways.

Hubby and my bro were getting ready to set the bbq grill to make lunch. We had lunch and from afar, could see people setting up tents, booths and tables.

Hubby asked if I wanted to go check out.
Even though I was fearful, I still went to see what’s going on.

We went and came back after less than 5 minutes. The vendors looked friendly but not the rv campers. There would be a party in an hour and all the rv campers were invited to come join the fun. There would be dancing, singing, games, free booze and food. Hubby nghe free la khoai’ roi.

All day, he was craving for beer. That was the result of not buying a case in advance to take along. Not my job to remind him on that.

They had a liquor shop at the entrance but super expensive. 1 glass=price of 1/2 case back home so he passed.

An hour later, he asked if I wanted to come with him to get free food and beer. I said I was full and didn’t want to go. That’s when my bro came knocking on the window where he was sitting and asked if he wanted to go check out the party. His wife, just like me was afraid too and decided not to come. He said they’d be back in 30 minutes then off they went.
